My friend and business partner, Val has re-launched her Scrap Facts site. Scrap Facts is an information is a resource site for scrapbookers.
But the best part of this re-launching is the new ebook and ecourse! You can go to www.ScrapFactsGuide.com to sign up for the free ecourse and more information about the ebook on how to get started scrapbooking. Doesn’t her sales page look great? (Insert shameless self promotion of myself here for doing the graphics for the sales page *big cheesy grin*)
So many people are intimidated with scrapbooking. The magazines make it look so over the top and then there is the lingo that goes with it. Break that barrier and just get scrappin!
This Isn’t Like Any Other General or Generic Book
On Scrapbooking You Can Find In Any Store..
…On the internet, or even at your local library for that matter!
All proceeds of sales from May 12-15 will be going to Val’s Relay for Life team! So, what are you waiting for? Go get the Scrap Facts Guide, start scrapbooking like you always wanted to and support a good cause all at the same time.

Another happy dance!!! Woohoo I’m on a roll now. It is good to be stitchy again, even if it’s only smaller projects. I mentioned that I was going to work on some stamped cross stitch projects that I had been meaning to finish up. This is one of many of those.

Now I’ll go back to stitching on the flags for a few days, and then back to some more stamped stitching, then flags, then stamped…. you get the idea. *gasp* I have a rotation again! It’s a small one, but it’s still a rotation.

Cause it’s kinda boring! LOL But, right now mindless stitching is totally okay with me and totally better than not stitching at all, which is what I was doing for a long while. I finished the first of the four flags and started the next one. It’s going quickly at least! Just to keep myself from going insane I pulled out some stamped cross stitch that I’ve been meaning to finish up as well so that I can alternate between the projects.

So, if you live in the Hampton Roads area and you have a house for rent, give me a shout and I’ll come over and have a look! I”m not too picky, just need 3 bedrooms, central air, and allows small pets. I’d love to have a little yard space, and with permission we’d probably plant a vegetable garden. It doesn’t have to have fancy garden arches, just a little bit of yard for the kids to play in would be fantastic!
There’s a rental over near the bay, I did a Google Earth search to see what the lot looked like and I think see some pergolas across the back of the lot. I can’t tell if they go to the house that’s for rent, or the house directly behind it. It could be either one, hard to tell where the property line is from the image. A fence would be nice in a case like that just so that we’re not invading each other’s back yards, you know? It doesn’t have to be tall estate fencing, just a little fence that says you stop cutting grass here and I’ll start.
In any case we have to be moved out of this place by June 30th. The search is not going so well really, and no one wants to hold anything longer than two weeks. Well, I want to look now, but I don’t want to move until June!! Just can’t catch a break lately.

I found these four small-ish in size UFO’s in my stash pile. I had to put Butterfly Fae away, the tiny work and my stress level were not getting along very well at all. So I grabbed these out, and I figured I might even get a finish out of my stitching therapy this week.

I couldn’t make up my mind so I randomly mixed them up and grabbed one out of the pile. My current project is now…..
Mine! by Little Treasures Design Co.

A cute little dragon wrapped around a pumpkin. I think I had started him as part of a Halloween ornament RR way back when on the Ornament RR board. And of course I got distracted and didn’t get him finished. Not much left, I think he’s about half way here. The pumpkin parts are all stitched, but the backstitching still needs done. And he’s only a few colors…. there may be a finish in my near future. Woohoo, haven’t had a happy dance in ages.

I apologize for my recent absence here on my craft blog, I just haven’t been very crafty lately. But, while cleaning and reorganizing things in my office this week and finally getting my cross stitch stash put away properly I found myself planning some projects and feeling the urge to get myself crafting more seriously again. So be prepared craft world …. I’m coming back.

Craft Blog was nominated for best hobby blog in the Blogger’s Choice Awards. Votes are always appreciated. There is a lot of tough competition in the hobby category! There are some gorgeous knitting and photography blogs. I’ll warn you now …. browsing this category on the BCA site is dangerous. You could get lost for hours.

I hope that our readers in the U.S. had a great Thanksgiving weekend. I can’t believe it’s Saturday already. So much stuff to catch up on. As soon as I’ve got the camera charged I’ll be posting my Online Craft Club post for the week. After that I think I’m going to throw some laundry in the washer and get out the sewing machine and work on that quilt I started. It’s been nice to just stay at home for the weekend and not have to do anything or be anywhere. It’s the first time in a long time it’s been that way in our house.
