Yes, free! Just print off this coupon from the Kmart website and head to your local K-Mart and stock up on goodies for the trick or treaters. Funny thing is I actually grabbed a bunch of bags of candy at Kmart the other day when we were getting costume stuff for the kids and I didn’t have this coupon. I might just have to go get more, you know, for the trick or treaters. I wish I had known sooner. At least now I have an excuse to go back and get more candy, right?
Admittedly I’m not normally a Kmart shopper, but it’s closer to my house than any other similar stores and the grocery store candy selection stunk. I want happy trick or treaters! I got Swedish Fish, Sour Patch kids, Twix, Kit-Kats, Milky Ways, Air Heads, Reese’s and a few other random bags that got tossed in the cart. The cashier even joked that she would be stopping by my house to trick or treat herself. I love me some Halloween! Stop by my house if you’re in the neighborhood, purty please!

Here’s a site that myself and a few of our other message board members have been watching for about a week now. It’s kind of an auction, but not really and you’re not really “buying” the stuff, you’re winning it. Although you do need to pay shipping and sales tax on anything that you win. bid4prizes lets you pick which prize you want to win, and bid for it. The twisty part is you want your bid to the be the lowest unique bid for that item to win it!
Right now there’s awesome gear to win, like the new Apple iPhone and a Nintendo Wii! Of course I had to enter a bid on the Wii because we’ve been trying to buy one for the boys for over a month now! We actually recently gave up the pursuit of the Wii and bought passes to Busch Gardens instead because chances of getting a Wii were starting to look pretty darn slim. There’s even a current auction for $500 cashhhhhhh! Wooohooo! Hmm, I wonder what the shipping is on a box full of cash?

Okay, I admit it, I have a bit of a game addiction problem. I am far too easily distracted by video games, especially puzzles and mind challenges. I can get wrapped up in a game and be lost for a few hours easily and not get my work done. I was recently turned onto Winzy by another blogger. Winzy is in Beta and growing by leaps and bounds. It’s a search engine where you can win prizes, like an Ipod, which is what I would love to see come up on my screen someday! Registration is totally free. I love it when I get my income tax refund and I can do some serious shopping! This year I’ve got to restrain myself a little bit since we are trying to save up most of the refund money for when we find a house. But, I can buy things that will go in the new house. Like candles, and linens, and the set of drinkware I grabbed at Sam’s Club last night. LOL Most of my shopping is done online all year round, refund time or not. I’m an internet-shop-a-holic! Sometimes shipping rates are a pain, but it’s way better than fighting the store and the line and dealing with crowds and people trampling on my kids in a cramped store aisle. Grabbing coupon codes helps a lot, in fact sometimes I end up with the better deal shopping online than if I went into the store in person. And of course someone is always offering up some free shipping, which is awesome for any size order, sometimes you only want one thing, and free shipping really helps there. Coupon Chief has it all together too, I can go pick from my favorite stores like Linens and Things or Kohl’s and grab some great savings before I shop. My own personal online coupon book!

In our searching endevours this morning we came across a fun little website with a great collection of patterns and a wealth of crochet information for you. I definitely recommend paying a visit to Crochet Me. Crochet Me is an online crochet magazine that is far from ordinary! You’ll find fun, creativity, patterns, and so much more than that.
While I was there of course I noticed the Crochet Me Blog, which is more than worth having a look at! I therefore names it our Blog of the Moment this week. Trust me, there are some really great photos in there that you’ll want to look at.
