drought relief - felt art

Love the colors and textures the artist uses in this piece! She painted the background and added all sorts of buttons and felt stitched to the top. Lots of other inspirational and pretty things in her flickr too

lady and unicorn embroidery

This reminded me of a lovely fairytale, fun and whimsical, and romantic all at once. And the red is so bold, yet perfect for the design - a most excellent fabric choice.

This is totally cute! And there is even more cute stuff in this user’s flickr stream. Love it! A really great use of waste canvas and traditional cross stitch embellishing patterns.

little creatures
Originally uploaded by amanda bel.
These cute little critters brightened up my evening when I ran into them on flickr tonight so I figured they would make a good flickr pick of the week! I’ve tried to make cute little beings in the past but never been very successful at it, my critters always come out looking mangled and scary, and not in a good cute Emily the Strange way either … more like scary in a my sewing skills suck kind of way. LOL
These however are very cute and sweet and I just want to hug them!

Vineyard Cloth
Originally uploaded by coming-unravelled.
Dishcloths seem to be a popular project among knitters and crocheters lately. I clicked into flickr to look at Dyane’s progress on the Skully Dishcloth she was working on actually, because it was just so darn cute. And then I found myself browsing a search of “dishcloth” to see all the different designs and colors.
This Vineyard Dishcloth really stood out to me. Not only is it my favorite color, but it’s very leafy, and fun! That’s a lot of yarn detail to wash the dishes with. I think I’d have to leave it just laying on the counter for everyone to admire if I had one. It’s just gorgeous!

skull oven mitts

I officially deem these the coolest oven mitts on flickr! Yes, I am flickr browsing for project ideas and I came across these. They’re awesome! And they aren’t the only awesome thing in this photo stream, oh no there’s more. I must warn you that you may get lost in flickr for a few hours drooling over all the creativity!
