stitching with aches and pains

I have been so sick the past month, ugh … it just won’t go away. Bronchitis is evil and won’t go away, and the weather is even more evil because it won’t pick a temperature to be outside and my arthritis has been going crazy flaring up on me. But, I have managed to get back into stitching mode and that is a good thing. Stitching for me has always been a stress reliever, a way to unwind from the insanity that is my life. And for the past year I haven’t been stitching – maybe that’s why I’ve been a neurotic mess. Just over this weekend I managed to stitch and I felt so relaxed and at peace with myself.

Stitching and headaches don’t really go together very well. I do make enlarged working copies so that I can see the chart better, and I have magnifiers and all that jazz, but ugh sometimes I don’t even want to look at the fabric. Even if it is pretty!

I have to agree stitching with a headache sucks. Same when I start getting a cold I get pain/pressure behind my eyes I can’t stitch then either.

What sucks most I think is that ti’s major downtime, you’re laying in bed and you know you could totally finish a project if only you could keep your eyes open long enough to stitch without feeling like your head would explode. Very frustrating!

I have found that when I get cold or flu it often moves to my chest so I totally sympathize with you!

I take a good strong nasal decongestant along with a pain killer and that works well. Or just some strong Theraflu drinks… Hope you feel better soon.
