off to the craft store!!!

Filed Under (General Crafts) by Loretta on 15-09-2007

Today after the boy’s karate class we’re headed over to Michael’s Crafts. I am in search of some Superman cake decorations for my son’s birthday this weekend. And I want to pick up some perler beads to finish the magnet set I started earlier this week. Got half way through a magnet and realized I didn’t have any white perler beads, or any light blue ones, or a couple other colors LOL

I will resist the urge to buy other stuff! Good thing the cross stitch section there stinks a little.

Fortunately, since it’s a craft that’s not as popular as it once was, the cross stitch sections of most stores stink lately, making me concentrate on projects I already have. The only really cool needlework store I still know of is over 60 miles away. Hmm, need to make a road trip. LOL

I know it’s so hard. Thank goodness for online craft stores!! Bring’s up a good point, I didn’t even know that evenweave and linen existed until I went shopping online for cross stitch supplies!

I can blame LORETTA for my addiction to evenweave! LOL!!

Unfortunately for me, the fact that so few stores carry cross stitch has caused me to venture into other crafts….so I’m not really saving money!

I will gladly take that blame ;)

I still love my cross-stitch and make sure I check out stores whenever I go anywhere. I do feel very blessed to live within an our of the Shepherd’s Bush store. I could wander around in there for hours. They have a great website as well where you can order on-line

Does anyone have a recent copy of the Michaels ad, with the 2 ofr $1?
