2007Online Craft Club Show & Tell
Filed Under (Online Craft Club) by Loretta on 14-09-2007
Technically this is the second craft club week but I didn’t have anything to post last week. This week I present to you my almost finished skirt made from a recycled pair of my favorite jeans t~ they suffered an unfortunate accident at the hands of a teething puppy, so they were cut up and re-purposed and almost finished …. This is the front of the skirt. Ignore the rumples, I just pulled it out tonight. I haven’t found my fabric yet, but I did find this! And the rest of the fabric to finish it was folded up with it, and I’ve got a spool of thread so I’m all set. Maybe next week I’ll get to post a picture of my wearing it. It may look done in this picture, but there is no behind in it right now so it’s not exactly safe to wear out at the moment. LOL And you can’t see it in the picture but the blue fabric that is used in addition to the denim has a light dandelion print with some glitter to it.
Click the banner above or head over to Cass Knits to see who else has shared a project this week, share one yourself, or to find some need inspiration to start one off!

Oooh!! that’s very cute!! Finish… finish it now! I wanna see!! How many exclamation points can I put in one comment!!!!!!!
ROFL lots of exclamation points. I’ve actually had that sitting in a drawer for about a year now! I really do need to finish because I would like to wear it next week :-p
That is so cute!! I’ve cut my old jeans to be a pair of shorts but it has never crossed my mind to recycle my old jeans into a skirt! Ha! Next time I’ll do that. Hope to see the finished product soon.
Too cute!! If I send you a pair of my jeans, will you make ME a skirt???
Nooooo I won’t because you have sewing machine Miss Becka -lol-
Isn’t it nice that you can take something that would otherwise be ruined and make something new out of it? Very fun!!
You totally need to come across with some instructions for this, yo!
Hmm … I suppose I can post instructions when I finish the skirt. If I can find the right fabric I might even make a second one like it.
