your craft and stitching magazine classifieds ~ a poll
Just a little something I’m curious about. I was considering placing an advertisement in this area to invite stitchers and crafters to our message board community here. I’ve thought about it several times in the past, but I’ve never actually gone ahead and done the placing of the ad. I know a lot of times there are a lot of junk ads in the back of the mag, business scams, and MLM ads are finding their way into them. So, I am just curious if you take a peek at those ads to see if there are any good freebies or something new and exciting that you want to check out. Also, do you go to any of the websites that you see there? Vote in the poll and leave me a comment with your thoughts about these little ad sections.

Yes if the ad looks interesting I’ll respond/check it out. Only thing is I don’t buy that many mags.
I voted yes, but there is a huge caveat to that. I only check the classifieds in the better and more indie mags.. like anything from Interweave.
I also used to enjoy the ads in my Mothering magazines more than the articles sometimes!
I don’t get craft magazines at all. When I do, the only thing I look in the classified ads for are new crafty websites.
Usually what I do is when I have some free time, I’ll just type in cross stitch into an online search engine and find new sites that way.
I’m with Sandye - I don’t get xs mags but I frequently google for xs stuff, like forums and freebies. I suppose that, being a compulsive reader, I would look at all the ads and then maybe follow up on the ones that sound interesting to me by going to websites.
