get something off your chest … and win a cute mohair bear!
First, I’ll tell you about the cute bear. His name happens to be Albert and he is totally adorable. He was made by Jeaux over at Fickle Food. An interesting thing about Jeaux, she restores antique dolls and teddy bears and she also makes these adorable antique like bears. And she’s holding a contest to win this cute little guy. Please be aware that this is not made to be played with really so it’s not toddler safe. Bits and pieces might come off if chewed on, the threads are loose etc … it is made like a true antique bear! But he would look quite cheerful on your desk or sitting on your stitching chair.
Part of the contest is to blog about something that has recently disillusioned you, annoyed you, drove you just plain bonkers etc. Wow, do I have plenty of those things. I generally try to not get annoyed, but it always hard as there seem to be so many annoying people in the world! LOL ~ Seriously. Let’s see I’ll just stick with this weekend. This weekend the most annoying thing I think I encountered was inconsiderate drivers that don’t look before merging into traffic. And I don’t even drive!!! Virginia is full of stupid drivers, I think its because no one here is from here so they are all used to driving in other places…. does that make any sense at all? And that’s the other thing that’s annoying me lately, I don’t drive. I really don’t want to drive. People are always nagging me to drive. Why is it so wrong that I don’t drive? It’s not a life requirement. There are buses, taxi cabs, and believe it or not your feet to get you places. And why do people find it necessary to nag me about not driving? Gees, it’s worse than the people that knock on your door to give you religious pamphlets. I’d rather talk to the religion pusher people, at least they don’t want me to drive. *sigh* Okay, maybe not really because the religion pusher people don’t like my thoughts and they get frustrated with me if I try to engage them in an actual conversation that doesn’t just nod and agree with everything they have to say. But, that’s another topic for another day on another blog somewhere in space.

Great post! And thanks so much for the plug! Got your name in the contest !
My last call to the computer techs at a well know computer company left me wanting to scream! They had some issues with their LCD screens in some laptops and finally got around to paying for replacement.
So I sent my laptop off to be fixed. It came back and the screen was weird colors, some things could not be seen on the screen due to this problem. It was unusable as it was.
It was in the internet, in my programs etc.
So I did what any person would do, I called tech support to tell them they messed up my computer. I got connected to some guy in India, who spent much time with me going thru his list of things he is suppose to have me check. I spent most of the conversation saying, could you repeat that, I dont understand you! Over and over and I still could hardly understand what he was saying.
Then as if that wasnt bad enough, the mike he was talking into would obiviously move and then I couldnt hear him, and that happened more than once. Then I had to keep saying , I cant hear you, I dont understand you! over and over.
So now here I am almost 40 minutes later, and the screen still looks the same. He puts me on hold and comes back some almost 10 minutes later and says I need to completely wipe out my computer. That I understood!
No way, this computer worked fine before your company touched it! After some bickering and insisting on my part, he said they would repair it one more time.
Thank Goodness! SO I typed up a long letter as to what was wrong to send n with the laptop telling what happened hoping the person in the tech dept where it was going could understand what I needed.
We all pay good money for the products we buy from these companies, the least they can do is supply us with tech support we can understand! I was so frustrated when I got off the phone I wanted to scream.
And they arrange for pickup by DHL right away, and did I mention I have 2 identical laptops, one is mine, one is my daughters. Well both were sitting on the table next to one another, and low and behold what do you think I did? Yup you guessed it, put the wrong damn laptop in the box! I realized this some 20 minutes later. I wanted to slap myself!
Now try calling DHL and getting them to help you locate the driver from the local offices so you can exchange it and put the right laptop in the box. I couldnt get one person in that office to connect me direct to the dispatch office that handled my area!
ANd everytime they tried calling me back I got a different person! More screaming!
That took 2 plus more hours and a 40 minute drive up the highway to their shipping center to get the right one shipped.
I finally got the right computer in the box and it came back fixed the second time without having to wipe out the whole computer.
I am so disillusioned with the current level of service I get when I call for support!!!!! I want to talk to someone I can understand!
I wont buy this computer again!
I have to agree with ya on the religion pushers!
