2007a not so creative first for me

This is the first year that I haven’t made anything at all for a back to school project for the kids. We usually do something crafty even if it’s just a pencil holder or something to get them in the mood. We had open house tonight and it was great. They all had a good time meeting their teachers and saying hi to some past teachers. And they were totally in school spirit by time we sat down to eat dinner.
I feel a little disappointed in myself really. And not just for this, but just for my lack of creating in general. There just hasn’t been anything crafty happening in my house in quite some time now. I keep meaning to, but it just doesn’t seem to be happening. I have things to finish that are just sitting there.
Someone pinch me.
A week or two at a California bed and breakfast might cheer me up if you’re paying!

I think there may be some wisdom for yourself there. If you aren’t crafing, if you aren’t creating, then maybe you need to change your focus. Look into new projects, things you have never tried before.
Inspiration is a tricky thing…but there are some definite ways you can kick start it.
Also…don’t woprry about missing back to school craftying. It is harder to fidn time to spend with your kids during the school year than it is during summer…so setting up a special date to do a project may be even more meaningful now
Ughh- I am having the same problem myself lately as far as crafting, I can’t seem to get into it. But on the plus side I am focused on my children lately- hanging out with them and looking into their school work. It sounds like you are focused on the right things too- getting everyone back in the groove for school.
