sbq ~ insurance?

Have you ever thought of getting a rider on your household insurance
to properly cover your stash (some of us have quite an extensive
stash that an average household policy wouldn’t fully cover) in the
case of some sort of damage to your house that would destroy/ruin
charts, fabrics, floss, etc?

Well, I don’t have household insurance at the moment, but I have considered it in the past just because I have read the awful stories of fires and floods and all the pretty stash that has been lost and not replaceable.  Although, I don’t think my stash is currently in a position to be insured.  I haven’t bought anything to add to it in quite some time.

If my stash were lost I’d be so upset! I bet the insurance people would look at me like I’m crazy to add my stash to the policy, but I think I’ll give them a call anyway :-)

Recently I have been thinking about my vintage eBay inventory, it’s accumulating and some of it’s pretty cool and irreplaceable, especially some of the vintage designer signed jewelry.(my GRANNY BLING) I don’t think you have to call your insurance company so much- as you might want to go around and take pictures of video of your stuff to document proof of value and what need replacing. -Michelle

You should absolutely get home owner’s insurance, especially if you’re in an area where there’s any kind of extreme weather. You probably do have an extensive stash that’s really irreplaceable, but you can at least be compensated for it if it gets lost.
