Gah, I feel old. My first video game system was an Atari! I think my mom still has the thing in the basement someplace. I remember when I got the first original Nintendo and had Tetris and Mario Brothers and it was the coolest thing in the world ~lol~ Gees, I was geek back then and didn’t even know it. My kids have Gamecube and PS2, plus they each have their own Gameboy (not the fancy new DS kind though) and the older two boys can play games on their ipods too! Plus we have games installed on both the laptop and desktop, and the kids have started a saving jar just to get a Wii (if we ever find one on the shelf we might actually get it!)

All that distraction it’s amazing that they still pick up a book, read and do creative things too. I guess that means I’ve done something right in explaining the importance of reading and using your brain to do things other than mindlessly blow stuff up on the television screen. Whew!
