comfort counts at JoAnn’s
You’d probably never guess at first glance that the top pictured here was a nurse’s scrub top, but it is. Honest I wouldn’t lie! Cute, huh? It’s also 100% cotton, which for me is a huge bonus. Comfortable and 100% cotton, I’m in heaven already. I actually noticed that several of the ladies at my JoAnn’s were wearing scrubs the last time I was there. Not boring scrubs of course, pretty fun colored scrubs with matching pants. No lab coat though -lol-, but one did have a cardigan type sweater on over her top! Thinking about it, that’s really not a bad idea when you’re on your feet all day, and the big pockets gave them a place to put measuring tapes and little things that they needed.
I walked around and found my quilting fabric, and I realized there were also a few manequins wearing scrubs off to the side near the cotton prints. And a stack of patterns for making your own scrubs at home! I think they may have made their own scrubs to wear at work, be comfortable and promote the pattern and fun new spring cotton prints all at the same time. Beach themed scrubs, how cool is that? Of course I have a pattern, but I’ve been lazy and haven’t made any scrub pants like I wanted to. My sewing machine is so neglected.

Now, it had never occurred to me to make my own. I’d love some in pretty patterns. My kids would love the cartoon ones more,but I have to decide if I am willing to appear in public with looney tunes emblazoned across my breasts. You know, I’m thinking probably not.
